You will then enter Tarangire National Park for two days of elephant sightings among ancient baobabs and a walking safari along the river. You will get to learn all about traditional Maasai culture with a visit to a local community and we’ll get a taste of daily life in Mto wa Mbu Village.
Then, it’s time to relax at Gibb’s Farm, enjoying a farm-to-table lunch before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater for a wildlife-packed game drive in one of the most densely populated and biodiverse regions in the natural world.
Conclude your adventure in the Serengeti National Park, spending three days amidst vast plains and spectacular wildlife, potentially witnessing the great migration. The tour wraps up with a choice to return to Kilimanjaro Airport or fly to the spice islands of Zanzibar.

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by a Pristine Trails driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town. Enjoy the evening at your leisure.
Transfer Time: 1 hour
Visit a local organic and Fair Trade coffee farm in a village outside of Arusha. Learn and see the difference between organic and traditional coffee farming. You will be invited to a Tanzanian lunch in the garden, followed by the final stop: the coffee roasting factory. Taste freshly roasted coffee while observing the process of roasting and grinding the beans.
In the afternoon, visit a local workshop, the mission of which is to empower people with disabilities through art. You will see glass blowing, weaving, sewing, beading and more, with a chance to shop the beautiful wares.

Following breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and pile into your very own 4×4 safari vehicle for the start of your adventure in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known for its bulbous baobab trees and savannah woodland habitat heavily populated with herds of elephants and a variety of migratory zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, impala, buffalo and more. The park’s annual perennial river serves as a water source for these migrating herds during the dry season, making the game viewing spectacular. Game drive on arrival until sunset.

Head out in the early morning on a walking safari along the river, followed by a day of game driving. Today you have the options of enjoying your lunch out in the bush, or lunch back at your lodge with game drives in the morning and afternoon.

Begin the day with an early morning visit to a local Maasai community, where you will have a grassroots cultural experience and a true look behind the scenes into Maasai culture. Take a walk to a nearby boma, the traditional home of the Maasai tribe. Following the boma visit, take a 1-hour medicine walk during which you will learn about the different root and plant extracts still being used by the Maasai on a daily basis.
In the afternoon you will visit a local village, on foot or in a tuktuk, visiting a school, farm, market and more. See how Tanzanians live their daily lives. You will overnight in the Mto wa Mbu area.

After a leisurely breakfast you will drive to Gibb’s Farm, an historic organic farm and coffee plantation. Experience the rhythm of the farm, visiting the animals, touring the gardens, and eating a scrumptious farm-to-table lunch. In the afternoon, make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater for registration and a panoramic view before settling in at your lodge for the evening.

Wake before sunrise, descending 900 meters onto the crater floor for a day’s game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater, a small haven of 300 km², is bestowed with wildlife, an estimated 35,000 in number, comprising zebra, buffalo, lions, old bull elephants and so much more. It is also one of the best places to spot the rare black rhino. In the later afternoon you’ll ascend back up to the cool crater rim for the night.

After breakfast you will head to Serengeti National Park, the largest park in Tanzania. The Serengeti, a world heritage site, is known for its famous migration during which six million hooves pound the plains as zebra and Thomson’s gazelle travel alongside millions of wildebeest looking for fresh grazing. Even when the migration is quiet, Serengeti offers unmatched game and predator versus prey viewing of the over 4 million animals that reside there. Overnight inside the park.

Experience full days in the Serengeti, driving across vast plains, observing daily wildlife patterns or in search of the great migration. For all full days in the Serengeti, you have the options of taking a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, or heading back to your camp/lodge for lunch and a rest, with game drives in the early morning and late afternoon when the animals are most active.
