How To Book Your Trip

You’ve decided you want to visit Tanzania, but how do you go about actually planning your trip? We’ve included a guide here about the process to book your trip with Pristine Trails and how we support you along the way.

How far in advance should I book? We encourage you to inquire and book as early as possible so we can secure your tour and accommodation bookings. Six to twelve months in advance is recommended, but we can do our best to accommodate you per our availability even one month prior to your preferred trip dates.

How do I contact you? You may email our sales team directly at [email protected] or use our online contact form. We encourage you to provide as much information as possible, including the preferred dates of your trip, number of people in your party, the activities you have interest in, your general budget and any other details you think may help us craft the perfect itinerary for you.

I’ve told you what I’m looking for…now what? Once we receive your initial booking inquiry, you will hear from one of our adventure specialists within 24-48 hours, with a proposed itinerary and information about availability, pricing, accommodation options, and more. From here, it is likely we will communicate back and forth multiple times while crafting the perfect trip for you and getting all of the details in place.

I am happy with my proposed itinerary and price. How do I confirm my trip? Once you accept the itinerary and price, we will create your invoice(s). If this all occurs more than three months ahead of your trip dates, we will request a 30% deposit to secure your reservation. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card. The balance payment will then be paid 90 days prior to the commencement of your trip. If you’ve confirmed your trip within 3 months of traveling, we will collect full payment at the time of initial invoicing in order to secure your reservation.

I’ve paid my deposit. How do I prepare for travel to Tanzania? Once your trip is reserved, we will send you trip preparation materials, which include packing lists, information about securing your tourist visa, airline recommendations if needed, and more details about what to expect in Tanzania.

We recommend applying for your tourist visa at least two months ahead of travel through Tanzania’s online visa system. Please visit our “Applying For Your Tourist Visa” post for more information. Ensure your passport will be valid at least 6 months past the last day of your trip.

We will also ask you to complete a client details form, which asks for your passport number, flight arrival and departure details, diet restrictions, travel insurance and more, so we can finalize the logistics of your trip and ensure all of your needs are taken care of.

What if I have questions while I prepare for the trip? You can contact our sales team at any time leading up to your trip with questions. We are happy to speak with you via email or phone to address any questions or concerns that arise while you prepare for this trip of a lifetime.
